
SPOONS A FRIENDLY COMPETITION
1. "Spoons is intended to be a social, club game event. It is played on Monday (men and ladies separate) and Friday (mixed) evenings in the summer season - see notice boards for start date, finish date and times.
2. Members are asked to register on arrival. Anyone arriving after the designated start time may only play at the discretion of the organiser. No player will be allowed to join in, after the games have started.
3. Players will pick a number to identify the team and playing rink for their game and each team will then arrange the playing position for their team members.
4. Wherever possible games will be played on a rink basis however if numbers dictate the organiser will determine an alternate format.
5. When a game is a triple eighteen ends will be played.
6. When a game is played as a triple verses a rink, the lead and two in the triple will both play three woods and the skip two woods.
7. In the event of play being abandoned the last recorded score will stand.
8. In order to encourage friendly competition, players scores will be aggregated over the season and winners and runners-up will be declared for each of the ladies, mens and mixed sessions.
