Dark Horses second game was played on a warm Thursday evening resulted in another great win and another full 6 league points.
The triple of Ingrid Thorogood, Debbie Greenwood and Sue Reeves won 15 – 11 whilst Alison Cross, Lynne Williams and Rose Keen achieved a 17 – 15 win. These scores were the result of a magnificent recovery from a fairly disastrous start with both rinks well behind in the first half of the game but coming good by the end of the night. Once again well done girls!!!

Dark Horses had a late start to their 2017 season as two teams withdrew from the league so delaying the campaign to try and achieve an immediate return to Division 2 of the Nor-West Triples League. However, we had a super coaching session with Jenny and Debbie at the end of last month and since then have had a couple of team building roll-up sessions which proved very useful.
The first game eventually took place at home against Calne Ants with Sue’s rink finishing with a score of 23 – 6 and Rose’s rink 18 – 12 earning a win by a clear 23 shots and gaining the full 6 league points. Well done team.

With the continuing heavy rain and with bowlers welfare in mind both greens are now closed for the day (Wednesday 17th May). This means that both the Four Rink League match against Trowbridge Westbourne and the Norwest League Match against North Wilts Red Devils have been postponed. Hopefully, weather permitting, the Top Green will be open tomorrow.
