Dark Horses Triumph

The Dark Horses finished the season on a high gaining 20 points in the last four games, 4 points each from Holt and Trowbridge Angels and the full six points from Spencer Melksham Smoothies and Chippenham Town Dragons.

I would like to express my congratulations to my team and say how proud of them I am as we have finished top of the Third Division of Norwest League (sharing 49 points with Spencer Melksham Smoothies but we achieved a bigger shot difference which has given us the top spot!!)

Well done Alison Cross, Lynne Williams, Debbie Greenwood, Sue Reeves, Liz Soellner, Jan Hodgetts, Lynn Hicks, Rachel Whiting, Margaret Cave and Ingrid Thorogood.

Dark Horses Out In The Cold

Dark Horses first away game of the season was against Avon Astras on a cold evening on 7th June.  They came away with 2 points thanks to the great effort of the triple of Sue Reeves, Debbie Greenwood and Ingrid Thorogood.  However the triple of Rosemary Keen, Jan Hodgetts and Margaret Cave were unable to match their opponents and lost heavily.

Well done Sue’s team!!

Dark Horses Battle Hard

On the evening of Tuesday, 30th May, Dark Horses played another home game.  This time their opponents were Chippenham Town Dragons. After a hard fought game they came away with another 4 points. The triple of Rosemary Keen, Lynne Williams and Lynn Hicks won 19 -12 but unfortunately despite a brave fight the triple of Sue Reeves, Jan Hodgetts and Alison Cross were unable to seal a win but fortunately we were able to maintain the aggregate and as a result Dark Horses  won 4 points to 2.
