So we have some of the hottest temperatures on record , Extreme Heat warning RED.
Today we are expecting temperatures of 36deg but it will feel like 43deg !!
For your own safety it is advisable not to try and play during this period which seems to continue into next week.
It should be noted that playing in these extreme temperatures will affect the grass.
Bowls as well as foot tread and the use of pushers , can kill the grass which will take a long time to recover.
There is evidence of this on Rink 5 .
So hydration is key even if you think the temperature is good enough for you, humidity levels will remain high and your personal cooling will be extremely low.
